This collection, by the Australian indie brand Femme Fatale Cosmetics, is inspired by the painting ‘Boreas Abducting Oreithyia’ (1822) by Joseph-Ferdinand Lancrenon. This painting reflects the dark tale of Boreas (Greek God of the North Wind) abducting Oreithyia (an Athenian Princess then later the goddess of cold mountain winds) as described in Ovid’s “Metamorphoses”.
